Transparency, is Amazon’s product serialization service which allows brands to apply unique codes to every unit produced. Enabling detection and preventing sales of inauthentic products – which better protects both brands and customers from counterfeit.

As of July 2019, the Transparency product serialization service is available in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, U.K., India and Canada. This geographic expansion builds on the over 4 000 brands that have enrolled in Transparency in the US and have generated over 300 million unique codes.

When brands use Transparency codes customers, brands, Amazon, and other supply chain participants are able to authenticate every unit of a product, better protecting brands and customers from counterfeits at scale.
