RFID Technology

For apparel, footwear, sporting goods, toys, electronics, or other general merchandise, we provide retail labels or hangtags equipped with RFID inlay technology – essentially, RFID inlays are a very thin antenna and tiny microchip combination embedded inside the label or hangtag, protected from physical damage. The microchip stores the item’s unique digital identity and the antenna allows it to be quickly read at a distance for instant and accurate item-level tracking.

  • Our RFID labels stand up to the toughest uses and conditions
  • Benefit from superior track-and-trace capabilities
  • Dramatically shorten the time spent on inventory management
  • Comply with RFID mandates
  • Integrate with your existing hardware and software to use RFID labels and hangtags across channels and with multiple channel partners
  • Track inventory throughout the supply chain; at the source, the distribution center, the warehouse, and at the consumption
Retail Labels and Tags

FineLine prints barcodes on labels or hangtags with unique numerical codes that identify your inventory by manufacturer code, product code, and a check digit that ensures the barcode is correctly composed.  Barcodes must be scanned at close range so the scanner’s laser can effectively and correctly detect the barcode pattern. The scanner then translates the barcode into a set of data that is sent to a computer database and easily retrieved.

  • Ensure scannability of every item in your inventory at any time
  • Improved inventory tracking and management
  • Start using quality barcode labels and hangtags from FineLine in less than 30 days
  • Unique barcode labels to identify every item
  • Precise and quality-controlled barcode labeling for complete data integrity and accuracy
  • Option for RFID labels to achieve greater speed and efficiency

Electronic Article Surveillance for Loss Prevention

FineLine can embed Radio Frequency (RF) or Acousto-Magnetic (AM) electronic article surveillance (EAS) into labels and hangtags, to support your Loss Prevention (LP) program requirements. Combining your variable data printed labels or tags with integrated EAS RF or AM tags greatly simplifies the application of EAS technology on your products and improves security in stores and the supply chain.

FineLine UHF RFID products follow GS1 Consumer Privacy Guidelines. The EPC symbol is designed to indicate that a RAIN RFID tag has been encoded in compliance with GS1’s EPC Tag Data Standard (TDS) using GS1’s EPC UHF Gen2 Air Interface Protocol for interrogator/tag communications.

ISO/IEC 29160

ISO/IEC 29160 specifies the design and use of the RFID Emblem to identify products, product packaging, transport units, returnable transport items, and freight containers employing RF tags. The symbol indicates the presence of the RFID tag incorporated within the packaging, container, or equipment without identifying the specific air interface or data structure employed.

A RAIN RFID solution uses a reader to read and write a tagged item, manage the data and take action.
