Distributed Printing and Encoding

Our distributed printing and encoding services bring the tagging process to your home base, helping to reduce costs, errors, and compliance concerns. No need to become an RFID engineer — DPE takes the guesswork out of what can be a complex endeavor and incorporates all the requirements into a single streamlined process. So Relax! When 48 hours isn’t fast enough, distributed printing delivers!

FAST DELIVERY

Shrink turnaround times from days to minutes

We know that sometimes even the fastest turnaround time isn’t fast enough, but with FineLine’s Direct Print & Encode (DPE) solution, you can print RFID tags and labels in-house and enjoy fast service even in remote locations.

GREATER ACCURACY

Encode On-Site with Source Data and Approved Ticket Formats

FineLine’s DPE solution leverages our FASTtrak platform’s data integration and print production engine – the same system that controls data integrity, serialization, and RFID encoding for our global print facilities. Plus, tag or label format changes from retailers are automatically updated, and only the most current/approved format will be used for the print-ready file.

DPE (Direct Print and Encode)

To Save Time and Money with Immediate Printing

Simply follow these steps:

  1. Activate a FASTtrak Account: Ensure you have an active FASTtrak account. This account is specially enabled to handle various print file formats, making it essential for managing your printing projects efficiently.

  2. Acquire a Compatible RFID Printer: Obtain a FineLine-specified version of the Zebra ZT600 Series RFID printer. This specific printer is recommended due to its compatibility with our system and its proven performance in printing RFID-enabled materials. Please note that not all printers are compatible, making this step crucial.

  3. Source the Correct Printer Media: Use FineLine-supplied blank RFID labels or hang tags for printing. These materials are of high quality and have been approved by the appropriate retailer or brand owner to meet certain standards and requirements. This ensures that your printed materials are compliant and of a professional standard.

PDF Printing (Non-RFID)

Use Any Laser or Inkjet Printer to Print the Tickets You Need, Today!

PDF printing allows you to print on demand using any laser or inkjet printer on perforated hang tag stock or label sheets. This functionality ensures that tags can be generated promptly, eliminating the constraints of pre-printing large batches.

Industry Partnerships

GS1 Silver Solution Partner logo

GS1

FineLine has partnered with GS1 to provide solutions and services that support the implementation of GS1 standards across industries and applications and serve as a resource for businesses seeking assistance with implementing GS1 standards, barcode labeling, RFID tagging, electronic data interchange (EDI), data synchronization, and other aspects of supply chain management. Solution Partners undergo training and certification from GS1 to ensure their expertise and capabilities in delivering solutions that comply with GS1 standards and best practices.

GS1 - EPC

FineLine UHF RFID products follow GS1 Consumer Privacy Guidelines. The EPC symbol is designed to indicate that a RAIN RFID tag has been encoded in compliance with GS1’s EPC Tag Data Standard (TDS) using GS1’s EPC UHF Gen2 Air Interface Protocol for interrogator/tag communications.

ISO/IEC 29160

ISO/IEC 29160 specifies the design and use of the RFID Emblem to identify products, product packaging, transport units, returnable transport items, and freight containers employing RF tags. The symbol indicates the presence of the RFID tag incorporated within the packaging, container, or equipment without identifying the specific air interface or data structure employed.

Auburn University RFID Lab

FineLine supports and collaborates with Auburn RFID Lab ARC program to meet and exceed levels of performance and quality necessary to provide ROI benefits to the end users.

FineLine actively supports ALEC submission and validation programs to help suppliers ensure that their RFID-tagged item meets all the industry requirements.

RAIN™ Alliance

FineLine is an active member of RAIN RFID, a global alliance promoting the universal adoption of UHF RFID technology. RAIN uses the GS1 UHF Gen2 protocol which ISO/IEC has standardized as 18000-63. The word RAIN—an acronym derived from RAdio frequency IdentificatioN—is intended as a nod to the link between UHF RFID and the cloud, where RFID-based data can be stored, managed and shared via the Internet. A RAIN RFID solution uses a reader to read and write a tagged item, manage the data and take action.

FSC®

FineLine facilities are FSC certified and we use a large selection of FSC papers.
