FineLine Technologies has just announced the hiring of industry veteran, George Hoffman, as the new CEO. Hoffman takes the reins of the international ticketing company February 14th.
“FineLine has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade, so the opportunity to bring George onboard to help take FineLine to the next level is very exciting,” said Chairman and Founder Richard Stamper. “George knows this business better than anyone in the industry. We’re very fortunate to have him on our team.”
Hoffman has over 30 years experience servicing global apparel retailers and brands. He has held senior management positions throughout his career including President of Paxar Americas (NYSE: PXR). At one time, it was the world’s leading provider of tags and labels to the apparel industry.
Following the acquisition of Paxar, he assumed the position of VP of Innovation for the Retail Branding and Information Solutions Division of Avery Dennison (NYSE: AVY). In that capacity Hoffman focused on new technologies and growth platforms for the apparel industry.
Since leaving Avery, he has been on the forefront of QR code technology for in-store apparel merchandising
Mr. Hoffman was also the CEO of two start-up companies that he managed and successfully sold to public companies.
He received his B.S. in Management Engineering and MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy N.Y. as well as a CPA and CMA and is a member of the AICPA and NCCPA.
Hoffman has a significant and proven track record of inventing, developing, and bringing to market a wide array of innovative solutions for the industry.
