The following is an excerpt from the VCF newsletter regarding color to size ticketing.
Color by Size Requirements for Federated and Saks During our Chicago conference Open Forum, there were some discussions around what both Federated and Saks are requiring in regards to the VICS Color by Size guidelines and when the requirements go into effect. We have researched several questions that arose from the discussions and have the following to offer: - Effective August 1, 2004, Federated began requiring suppliers to follow the VICS guidelines for color by size placement on price tickets. The recommended location for color code placement on the ticket is Zone 5 according to the guidelines. Expense offsets are being imposed for non-compliance.
- Effective July 1, 2004, Saks began requiring suppliers to follow the same VICS color by size guidelines for their department store group only and place the color codes in either zones 1,4, or 5 on the ticket. Neither Saks 5th Avenue or Off 5th stores have these requirements.
- Effective February 1, 2005, the Saks department store group will prefer that color codes be placed only in zone 5 on the tickets and expense offset policies will begin.
For additional details regarding these requirements, please refer to the Federated and Saks vendor compliance websites.
