Saks Guidelines:
Effective July 1 2004, VICS Standardized Size/Color Coding is required in addition to UPC and retail pricing on all ticketing for the following families of business. -- All Women's Ready To Wear -- Men's (Men's Suits are exempt at this time) -- Children's -- Intimate Apparel -- Footwear
Saks Incorporated has elected to implement the VICS Standardized Size/Color Coding Guidelines based on customer feedback to provide a uniform method of conveying size information. Saks Incorporated �s preferred application method is a color bar. Zone 5 is the VICS recommended location. Currently, Zones 1,4,5 of the UPC barcoded hang tag or gummed ticket is acceptable for application placement at Saks Inc. Zone 5 will become our STANDARD location February 1, 2005. Rider tags will no longer be acceptable as an alternative.

Federated Guidelines:
Federated is requiring color and size coding on all children�s, intimate apparel, missy, and men�s RTW areas effective August 2004. We are following the VICS standardized color coding guidelines. -- See page 39 for the following Expense Offset Policy Guidelines -- Color size coding on ticket not reflecting industry standard - $25 per receipt plus 50 cents per unit (effective 8/1/2004).
